Blockbuster New Releases

If you live near a Kroger, Movie Rental can be got for a great price. Most stores now have kiosks from “The New Release” where you can pick up movies for around $1 per day.

Many of these machines stock a great selection of new release DVDs so it’s well worth popping in and grabbing a movie with your groceries.

So how does Kroger Movie Rental work?

Well they have a machine in lobby. You walk up to the machine and using their easy to navigate touch screen you select the movie(s) that you want to take out. Then you simply add them to your cart and use your credit card to pay. You are charged around $1 a day until you pop the DVD back into the machine.

If you don’t have a Kroger near your home, fear not. Most major stores are now offering a very similar service.

Rumors are flying around the business world of a Blockbuster Bankruptcy.

For me a Blockbuster Bankruptcy would be very sad as I love their service and love being able to pop into the store and browse around for an obscure movie.

Online services are amazing but not quite as personal as finding the movie of your life in a dusty corner of the store.

Blockbusters inability to reinvent itself and keep up with the competition, like Netflix, are putting the company in a very tricky situation.

The Music From Pineapple Express is awesome. It’s a great mix of some great and fun reggae and raggae inspired songs. In my mind the Music From Pineapple Express is one of the best sound tracks of any “Stoner Movie” of the last 10 years.

It’s hard to say exactly what the Best Online DVD Rental service is but I do have a personal preference.

All the Best Online DVD Rental Services offer the same basics.

You have a huge selection of DVDs that you can add to a list for rental through your account on their website. Depending on your package a certain amount (3 is a good package to go for) of DVDs are sent to your home via the postal service. Every time you finish one of the movies you put in back in the pre-paid envelope and pop in the post box. They receive the DVD and then send out another on your list. You will have no late fees and should be unlimited on how many times you can do this during a month.

….. So they are the basics. Most services do this and do it very well but they also all have their own individual perks.

My favorite service is Netflix. They are definitely the most popular in the USA and I believe that is why they can innovate and offer the best selection of DVDs and services.

Our aim here at Blockbuster New Releases is simple. We will keep an update of all the new releases from Blockbuster (and hopefully other sources in the near future) so that you can bookmark us and easily look up when you would like to see what is available to rent.

We love watching movies. From summer blockbusters to little known indie films we try and see them all.
